I need help with the NTLDR is missing message for Windows server 2008 R2

After trying to free up disk space on my HP Proliant Microserver running Windows Server 2008 R2 I received the message NTLDR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. I used a USB boot drive to load the installation environment and chose the option repair your computer. I restored a recent backup image successfully. However, the server still failed to load Windows, instead displaying the NTLDR message again. I attempted to follow guidance for using the bootrec utility from the command prompt. However, this failed. First of all, no operating system is detected in the System Recovery Options window. If I cancel out of this, I have the option to open a Command Prompt. At the command prompt at X:\sources, I run the following scripts:

Bootrec /FixMbr the feedback is The Operation completed successfully.

Bootrec /fixboot The feedback is Element not found

Bootrec /Rebuildbcd The feedback is Scanning all disks for Windows installation. It identifies 3 Windows installations. I answer No to the prompt Add installation to boot list for two of the installations, but answer Yes to the Installation at C:\Windows. The response is Element Not found. At this point I'm not sure what to do next, and reboot the computer. That brings me back to the NTLDR not found prompt.

I can browse to my various drives, including on the RAID volume, but the operating system still will not load.

Any Suggestions? Thank in advance for your suggestions.
