i have imaging device that i need to install to my server o/s. but it wont install the drivers.
the manufacture doesn't offer driver d/l's from their webpage.
the device installs fine in windows 8 so i assume it should also install in server 2012 is there a manually way to grab the drivers from my windows 8 rig and install them to server o/s? or is there a setting that is preventing the device from install the driver correctly?
server 2012 recognizes the device and lists its name correctly in device manager under unknown device - when i try to update the driver automatically i get the error windows cant find the driver for your device. ive even tried the 'browse my computer for driver software' option and listed a shared win8 root partition as the search location. server 2012 finds the device driver but is unable to install it 'windows cant not find the file specified'
if anyone can offer some advice i would greatly appreciate it
