Good Day All
Can you please give me your thoughts on what I should do. I took over from the previous IT guy and he installed Server 2012 Eval version as a Domain controller.
The license will expire in two weeks and we need to upgrade this server to full 2012 Standard.
I have the correct 2012 standard product key but it tells me that I cannot activate windows with this key? I have also done some research and it seems like you cannot activate windows if its a DC.
My question is : Can I create a VM with the correct activated product key and clone the DC and remove it from my network?
They are both VM running on Hyper-V.
