I'd like to just create a bunch of GPOs to do all this work for me, and then simply turn on the computer and log in. BUT...I don't want to mess with our current domain network that everyone else is on.
Is there a way to do this? (details below) I do have access to a spare switch/router/server.
I receive a computer about every month that needs the exact same setup for software and Windows/registry settings. I install a few programs (and have a bat file that starts them, I just have to click Next a million times), and I disable the firewall, UAC, Windows Updates (after getting the most recent ones), and set the same admin password on all of them.
These are specialized computers, though, and the rest of our domain has basically zero GPOs other than to install a default printer and map the shared drive. These special computers also are NOT on any domain and cannot be on one.
