I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I still have doubts on what I read...
In our office we are planning to migrate our SBS 2008 to Win Server 2012 R2 (Domain Controller) and Exchange 2013 (or Office 365... but this will be another thread...)

and it says " Make the new DC an addt'l DC for the domain, let AD replicate. Transfer the FSMO roles to the new server."
What does exactly "let AD replicate" means ? Is it an automatic task that starts when the new DC is joined to the original domain or do I need to do something ? Same question for "Transfer the FSMO roles to the new server" ...what do I need to do ?
