I have some PCs that people want to change the time on so when they post stuff on our software it shows that past date. I have some computers that can't communicate with the servers when they change the time. I vaguely remember reading that if the time is different between a client and the server there are issues with authentication.
I tried using the command line to disable the time sync NET TIME /domain:mydomainname /SET /N. This worked for a couple weeks, but now I have some computers that can't communicate with the server if the time is changed to the past.
I have a few PCs that aren't on the domain that can backdate and still can reach the server. Also, I have a few off the domain that still can't sync with the domain. Do you have any guesses or suggestions of what the issue is?
