I started as an IT guy for this business and now I'm trying to get things sorted out.
We have 3 servers. exchangeserv1, filesrv1, filesrv2. They are all windows 2003 servers and were built as a domain. Currently exchangesrv1 is the domain controller, DHCP and DNS server. The unfortunate part is exhcangesrv1 cannot be accessed because of an administrator password that no one knows. I can view the logs of the exchangesrv1 and can see this error repeating:
The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error debug information (which may be empty) is "00000070: SysErr: DSID-02020F05, problem 28 (No space left on device), data -529". The event data contains the error.
also this error:
The File Replication Service is stopping on computer EXCHANGEsrv1 because there is no free space on the volume containing c:\windows\ntfrs.
filesrv1 is where all our file shares are kept. When I change passwords for users on filesrv1 they don't take effect for some reason.
filesrv2 is not used for anything right now as far as I know. I think it was used as a backup for filesrv1 but replication is not happening.
What am I to do.
