I know there is an identical post as this on here, but I have a little bit more information that is probably different and I could use some help on.
This just started happening in our environment. I'm pretty sure I know the culprit, but I'd really like help understanding why there is a problem.
We've been using a VM with Win 2008 R2 for 6-8 months as a print server. There have been 23 printers (mostly Dell various models and a few HP's) I don't think we've had any issues at all. Yesterday I setup a new printer that is on a different subnet (same domain, connected back to us via. FIBER connection) and these problems started happening this morning. This printer is a Dell 2330dn that we already have 5 of running off our printer server.
The only thing that makes any sense to me is this printer is causing the spooler server to crash because it's printing from a different subnet. But WHY? Why would that matter? I am not very knowledgeable in routing so any help you could give would be very appreciated.
Thank you
