I have a Windows 2003 server that serves as the PDC. It also serves DHCP. Occasionally, at random, a client will become unable to connect to networked drives on that server. Network drives on other servers connect. The only solution I've found is to give the crippled client a static IP address.
The DHCP is using about 70% of the available licenses. Some how the client PC is refused access to the server. If you try to connect to the server you get an error message that there are permissions problems and to contact the administrator.
The client PCs are running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP. The systems are patched to the latest patches, Windows, Adobe, and Java.
Does anyone else have this problem. Better yet a solution that doesn't require me to use static IP addresses?
Thanks in advance
