I'm running Windows Server 2012 Standard and for the past week I've been unable to add or remove server roles due to server manager unable to get roles and features. I've been looking around the forums and I see a few people are having this same issues and correlating it with Net Framework 3.5. I'm unsure if this could be my issue but I know I have Net Framework 4.5 installed on the server.
One way I can add server roles or remove server roles is to restart the server. When I restart the server I'm able to use Server Manager as it should and I receive no red flags but after a day or two the "Online - cannot get roles and features" comes back.
Is there something I can run to get more information about the error? I'm not seeing anything in eventviewer that could be related to my issue.
