I'm tasked with migrating a server that holds some applications. We want it to have the same server name due to how some of the programs run, but need them both up for configuration. I'm also reading that it's best not to change the server name or it causes metadata problems.
Is it possible to have two names in the dns point to the same IP? Are there any other options I'm not seeing.
Any suggestions would really help.
