Hello. I am prepping my AD environment to introduce 2012 domain controllers. Currently I have 2- Server 2003 R2 DC's. Over the weekend I ran an update on exchange 2007 to SP3 to support the 2012 environment. Part of the upgrade to SP3 on exchange was to update the AD schema. I assume this only adds the required variables to the current schema to support service pack 3 and doesn't actually change the schema version? When I query the schema version it shows 31 - server 2003 r2. After looking at the compatibility matrix for exchange it shows it only supports 2012 and not 2012 R2. Do I need to run adprep from a server 2008 R2 or 2012 disc on the current 2003 domain controllers? I assume I cannot do this from my 2012 R2 dvd since exchange does not support this? Thanks.
