I am currently using Performance Monitor on server 2003 to monitor and record CPU usage, Memory usage, and CPU usage per process. I can view the CPU and Memory usage log under system monitor, view log data. The problem that I am having is that I am unable to view the log data for the single processes. I configure the counter log as follows:
Performance object: Process
Counter: % Processor Time
Instances: Total
Saved the settings and ran the counter for 1 day, log file is about 10 MB in size, so it is recording information, but when I open the log file in performance monitor it does not display any information (I did stop the recording of data before trying to open the log file). Any suggestions as to why I can view this log would be great appreciated.
