Ok, So we deployed some new Seagate Backup drives (3tb) to a few servers, some running SBS and 2008 R2 SP1. Tried to run backups, I/O failure...
From what I can find, its related to the 4k sector size of larger disks. I found an update supposedly for Server 08 that would allow it to backup to these drives, however, update installed and backup still I/O fails....
Are we not able to use these new 4k sector drives in older servers? Only 2012 and Win 8?
