DHCP Changeover

Hello all,

I'm taking this proactive approach to avoid any mishaps. We recently installed a new Windows Server 2012 Essentials server at one of our customer sites. One of the few remaining things we have to do is change over the DHCP as it is currently being handled through the server. We thought about going through the router but believe it or not it will be much simpler going through the new server. The way I see this process going is as follows: install DHCP on the new server, define the scope, authorize the new server, and unauthorize the old server. I just want to make sure I have not oversimplified the process. We are planning to do this in a few days. Thanks in advance, as always, for your help.

Bryan
