I am trying to configure a DHCP server to play nice with my SonicWall TZ215 as it acts as our router.
Basically, the sonicwall assigns DHCP leases based on the interface on which the requesting machine is connected.
I.E.
Wifi (W0) -> 192.168.5.2 - 192.168.5.100
LAN (X0 and X1) -> 192.168.6.2 - 192.168.6.100
VOICE (X2) -> 192.168.8.2 - 192.168.8.100
I have done a bit of research and realize I need to use the IP Helper function of the sonicwall. More specifically its DHCP relay service. However, I have no clue on how to set this up or make Windows recognize the relay. Or even how the relay tells windows what interface the requesting machine is on.
Has anyone done this before or does anyone have any basic knowledge on how this should be configured?
