So i have several VSS writers that are showing State: [5] waiting for completetion. From all my investigating ive found that something is causing the vss writers not to respond and it is causing full backup failures. But it does differential backups just fine. This occured after my database admin notified me that he had issues with jobs he ran over the weekend and something hung. He said he killed the job and reran them and that all but one worked so he did something and now they are working fine. Since then, i have been unable to do any full backups on this server at all. I have uninstalled the backup agent and re installed it. We have restarted the server and still the issue is there. Any help?
