I'm very glad the start button was back in R2 and I think the recent changes to the Server 2012 R2 GUI that came with the big update have improved on this again. I have a few servers on the original 2012 release (not R2), does anyone know of any way to get the new GUI improvements on the original release? Looks like they are not coming down with windows updates. I'm not interested in third party tools to be honest (hated classic shell) unless they are very much like how the current R2 GUI looks and behaves now after the recent updates, ie simple start button that brings you to the modern UI tile screen and the ability to right click on the start button to bring up the windows key + x menu.
