I have been tasked to migrate our DFS server that is running on 2003 to our new 2012r2 server. This server was setup by a prior employee and was un-managed for a long time. My concerns are that the DFS and the DFSN are linked to our production servers that host our product and i will miss something in the migration. Are there any applications or tools that i can use to ensure that the migration is smooth and seamless? I would like to do a live migration as these are cross states and over VPN.
I should add that the old server will be decommissioned after the migration.
