File servers Access

I have two locations that are connected by a site to site vpn.  We are not on a AD domain as of yet that will be coming soon. The problem is the File server is at location A and people at location B can not access it.  we can ping the file server just fine but cannot access it we get access denied.  The file server is server 2003 sp1 and most of the client computers are Win 7.  It resolves the name of the shares and even through Rdp it work, but for the life of me i cant get authenticated.

The firewalls are SonicWall tz 215.  Both locations have a different subnet however each firewall is running the dhcp for its location. But all servers including the file server are using a static IP

and the File server is a IOmega Nas not sure the model number but it is very old.

I am sure i have left something vital out please ask if you need any info
