Ran gpupdate /force on my DC01 Win 2008 STD R2, got this error

User policy could not be updated sucessfully.  The following errors were encountered:  The processing of Group Policy failed.  Windows could not determine if the user and computer account are in the same forest.  Ensure that the user domain name matches the name of the trusted doamin that resides in the same forest as the computer account.

Computer Policy update has completed successfully.

To diagnose the failure, review the event log or RUN GPRESULT /H GPReport.html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results.

This is what happend, I was not in the office, and my assist tech (Domain Admin credentials, logged on to DC01 as himself, instead of domain administrator, for some reason when he did this, a windows pop-up Group Policy Management Console that said Group Policy  could not contact the Domain Controller (DC01) please choose a different domain controller, or retry, or remove the domain controler from the console, and he selected Choose a different domain controller and point to DC03.

So right now, the computers container updates, only but the users do not?

Any help will be appreciated.
