How do you give terminalusers access to an application that can be run once on a terminalserver ?
In my case, i have to run "Silex SX Virtual Link", a software to map local USB devices to a VM. Sometimes the software doesn't get the connection to the device right, and the device stays offline. Now i need user access to do one click for reconnecting.
I tried with running as remoteapp, but the applications needs to run all the time. In this case its only opened in this session. Then there is the case that another user, who want to control this software too, but can't do it because its startet in session x.
Granting access to server's desktop is currently a no go.
Currently i only see one solution:
create a new user with no rights. there is this apllication running. the users is always logged in, maybe not connected, but running programs. Now the users can connect (mstsc) and kick out each other on terminalserver.
Any advices or suggestions to do it better? Would be nice to see this application somehow running like usual software.
