I currently have two 2003 R2 32bit servers running as my Active Directory Domain Controllers and DNS servers. I want purchase two new servers, and migrate the DC and DNS roles to 2012 R2. Easy, right?
Well, because of certain complexities with my environment, these new servers must ultimately end up with the same IP addresses that the current/old servers have.
While I've seen some excellent articles and forums discussing how to migrate from 2003 to 2012 AD, I haven't seen any discussion about how to accomplish this while maintaining the same IP addresses on the new servers.
Has anybody successfully managed this and/or are there any Microsoft Server Pros who might be able to guide me through this process?
