Windows 2008R2 System Unresponsive

So a previously very reliable server has decided to present a mysterious error. Basically for the last three days at night, when nobody is there and it has finished its backups at some point in time it stops responding. All the lights are on, fans are buzzing but will not respond to ping or RDP, hook up a keyboard and mouse and monitor and will not respond. The only thing I have been able to do is a hard shutdown and reboot by holding the power button.

When it restarts it functions apparently completely normally.

The only log entries are nowhere really that near the time the shutdown occurs.

There is a backup that finished running at 4:02am

System Log

The previous system shutdown at 5:01:15 AM on ‎1/‎27/‎2014 was unexpected.

Security Log

Spiceworks related:

An account was successfully logged on. at 4:46am and Logged off at 4:48am

There are a few circumstances that have changed in the last few days.

1. Moved the Server 3 Feet From Its Previous Location

2. Changed the Switch that it was connected from a 16 port to a 24 port.

3. Installed a few windows updates Updates: 3 Updates for Windows and 2 Security Updates

4. Replaced a Failed Disk in a RAID array on a non-boot volume and array is now optimal

One thing I can see is that when the system is in its non-responsive state, the 1000MBps Indicator on the new switch is off. Don't know what is up with that.

Anyway I guess my question is where you would start in trying to figure out what is going on.
