My co-worker created a VM template for Server 2008 R2. I created a VM using this template this morning. I gave the VM a static IP and went to change the name and join it to the domain. I noticed a big problem. The server was already joined to the domain with the same name as another Server. He must have created the template after joining the domain..
To clarify, I know have to VMs with two separate IPs with the same name and they are both joined to the domain.
What can I do?
I am scared to rename or disjoin the domain on my new VM because it may break domain membership with the production server?
