Created a trust between a Server 2003 DC and a server 2008 r2 DC both are not the primary DC. They are on 2 separate networks but in one building so we have separate switches routers etc but these networks are connected using a VPN Link. We have a few issues that need fixing.
•From the Server 2003 environment i can access the other network from any DC on the domain and am able to manage it correctly. But from the 2008 enviroment i can only use the DC i used to work on the relationship with. All other dcs cannot access the 2003 environment.
•When using Conditional forwarders on the 2003 environment it prevents the emails from the network sending outwards and generates a queue. stopping emails going over our VPN link.
We had to remove the DNS entries to get the system working again but the trust is still up at the moment.
Any advice would be helpful.
