I have followed this technet article to the letter. It simply doesn't work. All I want to do is redirect my documents to a share on the server, have it create the folder automatically for new employees and assign the appropriate rights. It fails continually and I have narrowed it down to Share Permissions or Security. If I create a visible share and give everyone full access to it, then change the group policy to redirect My Docs, to that share it works. If I follow the technet instructions it fails. How do I do this securely. I am just shocked a task which should be so simple, is so difficult.
What are the appropriate permissions for the Share, What is the appropriate security, so users only see their own files. Arghhh!!!!
I'm running Windows Server 2012, Mixed XP and Win 7
