Server 2003 R2. DFSR stopped working for one set, all others working fine. I ran the backlog script and there were 18200 backlogged files. Many folders on the receiving server completely empty. Patched, rebooted, ect. does not engage this set.
DFS private folders empty too. I think it will be best just to create a brand new group. What is the best way to do this? I have the connections paused.
Should I delete old replication group?
Can I safely delete dfs private folders?
Create new replication group with a new name?
A while back I had trouble with the DFS replication set replicating the empty folders to the active server, this wiped out the active server files, once realized, had to do a complete restore of the ENG drv. I don't want to have to do this again!
Suggestions please...
