Remote Desktop Gateway Certificate Help.

Hello,

I am setting up a remote desktop services server for remote access to a few machines on my local domain. Now I have been able to get the external access working in the sense that I can browse to the externally forwarded domain name. I am able to also login with the specified users that I set up for access. When I get to the page where my remote apps are listed I click on one and receive and error message that says: "Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Remote Desktop Gateway server address requested and the certificate subject do not match."

Now I think I know what the problem is and what I am looking for is the direction of how to get around or resolve the issue. I am using a self signed certificate on my RDP Server w2k8.test.local, however I am connecting to my server web page via https://test.soundprint.net/rdweb. In order for this to all work you have to have the external site set in the gateway settings. If I make it the local FQDN it is unable to connect to the gateway server. With that being said the gateway has the settings of: test.soundprint.net and the certificate has the subject of this: w2k8.test.local. I made a CA server to create a cert that would reflect the External FQDN and installed it where necessary however it then broke my website connection. Which makes sense because the external FQDN is unrelated to the IIS settings except for the forwarding I put on.

Is it possible to change the subject in my self signed certificate to reflect the external FQDN?
All of this is becoming very confusing and I need some guidance.

Any would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Eddie
