Hi,
We have an old SBS2000 server which stores our roaming profiles. The server is rapidly running out of disk space on the D partition (where the profiles and our Exchange server lives) and I thought moving the roaming profiles to our other file server would be a good idea.
However, it's being a pain. I have changed the ownership on the Roaming Profiles to "Administrators" and added the Administrators to the permissions.
I'm using Richcopy to move them from one to the other - it does copy them over, but throws up "access denied" on all the favourites folders within the profiles.
I set up a test user, copied their profile (again with access denied on the favourites), changed the AD profile path and the user loaded a local profile, doesn't even try to access the roaming profile.
Any ideas? This is reinforcing strongly to me the need to get shot of the roaming profiles, I hate them!
