Windows 2008r2 install??

Strange question for most but its got me questioning myself.

I have a 2 new server no os on it I want to install windows server 2008r2 on to it and them make it the main DC and replace the existing 2003r2 dc and backup 2003r2 dc

My questions are:

do i just install the 2008r2 on the new servers and give it the new server names svr1 svr2 and give them new IPs?

For simpicity it would be best to keep the existing IP of the old server correct?

My confusion is if the old name of the server was one thing and that is what all the share names were referring to.

I have this new server name so where and at what point do I make this all point and work from the old servers ip and old name to the new server name with the old server ip??

Do I install the new os on new server like i stated above then

promote the new servers as Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controllers to your existing domain in an existing forest

then: transfer the FSMO roles to the one or both of the new Win2008R2 D?

Then Once FSMO roles transferred, final step is to demote the Win2003 DC correct?

Do I need to copy over the shares and user folders etc to the new dc before I demote the old?

Regards

Ethan
