I have a new regular Dell Desktop and I am installing Windows Server 2012 on it. I have struggled through adding users with associated groups. The server is basically used to share two folders, folder a and folder b. Access to the folders from other PCs is controlled by mapping from the user's PC to the server and the folder on the server. The last server software we had was Windows Server 2000. I have copied the folders from Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2012. However, I don't know how to make the folders shared on Windows Server 2012? What do I need to do in order to allow a user to map to the shared folder and access the folder. I know how to map but how do I make the folder a shared folder?
