Being a small shop and not needing (affording) System Center, I have always just RDPd into my servers to manage them and have been confused as to why others use the MMCs or RSAT. I know I must be missing something. Make me feel stupid, please...again.
And seriously, did MS fail to make 2012r2 servers manageable with RSAT under Win7 (I am NOT putting Win8 on my desktop) ?
