So I inherited an older domain environment almost a year ago. I've since upgraded a lot and introduced some new hardware to make things better.
Now that server 2003 is coming to EOL, I need to start upgrading old servers.
When I started I had two hardware servers running 2003 R2 (HP Proliant DL360 G5).
Now I have a redundant Hyper-V environment that I plan to virtualize the DCs.
I have already created a 2012 Hyper-V DC, so now I'm running 3 Domain controllers.
What is the best way to upgrade these two hardware servers? Should I keep at least 1 hardware DC or can I get away with virtualizing all DCs? Also, how many DCs are needed? As of now I have about 75 clients, but want to build in room for growth.
Thanks SpiceHeads!
