I really need your help/guidance with the following issue, knowing there are different solutions out there but need to narrow it down to our environment needs:
Our file share server is about 5 yrs old, no power redundancy, no network redundancy, build on Fedora for file sharing for two different groups "DevOps/Architects", OS side was configured wrong and died (a devop was able to bring it back), it was build before my time at the company where I'm at.
The new file share will be dedicated for file sharing for the architects (DevOps is dealing with their own solution).
One solution I look is the Dell PowerEdge VRTX: 4 Dual Intel Xeon processor, 48 TB of storage. I intend to use two nodes for redundancy, 1 node for Win server 2012 to alocate space for a few VMs machines (print server, secondary DC, license server,...
