SCOM 2012 and SNMP Traps

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with SCOM 2012 and SNMP Traps. The internet is chalk full of these issues, and in fact there are some very good resources already out there such as:

But there doesn't seem to be any answer for my specific problem.

The setup I have is a Windows Server 2012 R2 server running SCOM 2012 R2. I have an older APC SmartUPS 1500 that ultimately I want to generate alarms whenever it goes onto battery.

So, within SCOM I've defined a "Network Discovery Rule" and I have properly discovered and identified my device:

I can, and have, successfully run SNMP WALK's to the device so communication between the device and the SCOM server...
