Is hot cloning a single DC ok?

This process is a first for me, so here goes:

This is a small network with a single Proliant ML115 G5 Win2003 server running DC, DNS, DHCP.
Long before me being here the company was sold this thing with a single 160Gb HDD which has done great at 36000 hours but is now freezing randomly with the HD activity light on constant. SMART, Acronis Disk Manager and CHKDSK show that nothing is going missing yet, and Iam saving incremental images each night with Macrium Reflect Server just in case.

I'm going to put 2x 160Gb drives in as RAID 1, and clone the existing HDD with Macrium.

Out of hours time is limited, so being a single DC is it ok to hot clone to the new array and reboot from it?

I've read about USN rollback, which shouldn't apply here, but want to do the right thing in the limited time I have. I take it that the alternative to hot...
