Im having issues promoting the new server. when I try to promote the new server I get the following message in the wizard: "Vreification of replica failed. the forest functional level is windows 2000. to install a windows server 2012 r2 domain or domain controller, the forest functional level must be windows server 2003 or higher."
I have prepped the forest and domain, both say they are running in the 2003 environment on the old server. I have ran dcdiag and all test pass. only thing I haven't done is reboot the server which I will do tonight but from my understanding this is not required.
any other ideas?
