We are adding a new IBM Power7 server this weekend and migrating users to it monday morning. While I am migrating, I would like the users to be able to access the new with no changes.
The new machine will use the same IP as the old....however the name will be different. The software points to the name. Can I configure DNS in a way to allow a connection to the new server even if the old name is used?
