Over this last weekend I moved our companies fileserver away from a SBS2011 server onto Windows 2012 r2 on a DFS Namespace. I also created a replica for one of the namespaces, to replicate between a server on this site (and a 2nd one that will be going to a 2nd site this week).
The next step is to get it to work so that the 2nd site always access the correct server (when available). The server I am putting up at the other site also has a AD Domain server running on it as well.
Ive done a bit of reading and gather that I have to configure the AD Sites area... somewhere I must admit that I have never even looked at.
Ive not found anything too detailed about what I need to do and how to do it.
Basic setup of network is as follows:
Site 1; using single subnet with 2 AD / DNS servers (one is SBS2011 2nd is its replacement a 2012r2...
