Probably not the first time this has been asked. I have a two node cluster using Dell 715 machines with a DNUK SAN array. What I would like to do is set up a file share of 10TB and a file server to manage it.However reading the info supplied from Microsoft; Microsoft suggests that the file server roll can be installed on the hyper visors and consequently can be added to CSV for failover. This would be an elegant solution, however the file server roll would impact on the performance of the hyper visors (or would it?). The other solution is to make a file server VM however with the large amount storage attached to the VM would not be able to be added to the CSV for high availability since the 10TB is added to the VM as direct storage using SCSI. Should I use the file server roll on hyper visor (has to be set up on both nodes) or is there...
