I have been brought into this company to try to put all the pieces of a disjointed network together and organize the company a little better. My first step is getting the network updated to server 2012. I am trying to use Windows Server Essentialsas a network backupserver. When I arrived this was aServer 2k8 environment with a domain functional level of 2k3. I have since moved ourDCs over to 2012 r2 and raised our Functional level to 2012.
So I am trying to get WSE 2012 installed as a role on a Windows server 2012 r2 /w update. I get the logon error when it tries to initialize. I have spend hours and hours trying to figure out why it was failing. I added ServerAdmin$ to "Log on as service" and it still failed, till I learned this.
