I have a customer who has been dragging their feet on upgrading servers. They are currently running a Server 2003 DC and a Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 server. I am planning on replacing the 2003 DC with a 2012 DC (New box) and migrating the exchange to Office 365 Hosted Exchange (Lots of reasons for the move like cost, space, better accessibility for the 25 field staff all over the place, etc) From the looks of it, I am going to have a run for my money. Like maybe I should put a temporary Server 2008 R2 server in place as a "bridge" (mainly because they want to keep the server name), migrate to Office 365, then install the Server 2012 and ADFS? Maybe skip the "bridge" server and just migrate to Office 365 then do the DC replacement and AD sync or ADFS for SOS? Or newer version of Exchange before migrating? Any help or personal...
