Currently have Lync 2010 Front End plus Edge services deployed and working fine.
In an attempt to support iPhone devices have downloaded and installed the Lync 2010 mobility services. I followed the steps at http://blog.schertz.name/2011/12/deploying-the-lync-2010-mobility-service/ in conjunction with the Planning, Deploying, and Monitoring Mobility MS white paper.
I ran through the deployment and to give an overview what we have in place:
Split brain DNZ with the same internal / external DNS namespace of sub.domain.com
All certificates are signed by internal enterprise CA and test client is a domain member laptop so ‘trusts’ CA
External DNS records exit for:
sip.sub.domain.com
webconf.sub.domain.com
av.sub.domain.com
lyncweb.sub.domain.com (Reverse proxy by IIS with ARR)
lyncdiscover.sub.domain.com (Reverse proxy by IIS with ARR) – Just added...
