I work for a marketing company with 60 Apple workstations (iMacs, laptops, MacPros). We are actually using a OS-X 10.9 Server running on a monster loaded MacPro (2012) with a fiber channel (ATTO) connected Hitachi SAN. The problem is this setup is actuallyoverwhelmed because the Apple Server isn't designer for a workgroup that large. We have bad performance issues from the file server and the problem is the OS-X system isn't optimized for SAN external storage and it's not managing I/O request queue very well in a large businessenvironment. Causing a lot of I/O pending and slowdowns!!
I amactually working to remove the OS-X Server from the main workflow by replacing it by something more business oriented. First of all the integrated Open Directory is turned into an ActiveDirectory domain (Windows 2012 schema). The Apple Mail/iCal server...
