Backing up Windows workstations to Linux server

We have been using Amanda for our workstations over the past year and completely run aground in regards to the virtual tape management system. Just find it difficult to manage. The goal is to have a system at the workstation level that does daily incremental backups of specific locations on each workstation and dumps to folders on a server that can then be backed up by our Backup Exec 12.5 using (24 bay) LTO4 tape backup.

Is there anything worthy of this on the opensource level? I've messed around with Cobian but it worked to mixed results.

I currently have each workstation backing up files using Oops! Backup for a redundancy and do manual imaging once every 2 months. It's a great utility as it allows the user to restore anything that has either A) gotten corrupted B) been deleted more recently. But if a workstation goes down I would...
