This is a brand new WSUS server, never had a WSUS server in the environmentbefore. New installation of 2012 server and fully updated. Installed WSUS through the add/remove roles/features wizard. It failed the followup installation part, so I had to run the install command from the power shell. It completed successfully, and I can bring up the WSUS console.
I edited my GPO for my updates on my laptop, and added http://servername:8530(also tried the IP instead of the servername), saved it, and restarted the WSUS services. I've also checked the IIS that was installed with WSUS on the server and it looks fine.
I'm getting the Code 80072EFD error, which is an error that my laptop can't connect to the server. I can remote connect through RDP, ping it, USC path to it, so my laptop doesn't have any issues connecting to the server.
