Network System Time issues

I have a Win2k8R2 Hyper-V host on an HP Proliant DL360 G7 platform.

Currently, thetime is being served local from the VM DC's housed there. The VM's are affected by the system time of the host, which creates a bit of a "tail before the dog" situation, but is ok once you get your head wrapped around it.

What is happening now, is that I am losing 30 minutes a day on the server's internal clock, which come each Monday, is enough of a time discrepancy to break trust between my home domain and the CAS of our offsite exchange environment. The only thing I can think of that could cause this is perhaps a faulty CMOS/BIOS battery? Thoughts? Opinions?

So you can imagine the plethora of issues this is causing, not the least of which are missed meetings etc... As a result, I am now considering synching to a web-based NTP source, such as ...
