How to create a new port type for a printer (virtual USB) in Server 2008 R2

This should be obvious, but it's not. This is what I'm trying to accomplish:

Print from a Wyse S10 thin-client that is connected to RDS (Windows Server 2008 R2)

Printer is a Brother HL-2240 (USB only). Printer is wired to thin client via USB. USB is forwarded to Remote Desktop session. Other peripherals work so I know the USB ports are coming into the session fine.

I have installed the x64 brother print drivers on the terminal server. However, when I try to install the printer, there are no "Virtual USB" ports available. I cannot seem to figure out how to create one. Print Management > Ports > New Port: Virtual USB is not an option

Print Management > Ports > CREATE New Port: I just get "name the port" and nothing else. What am I missing??
