So I am tasked with creating a trust between two forests that are residing on the same network under different subnets. They are reachable to each other with dns stub zones created on each domain. I can ping DC's and domain names. The final goal is to migrate all user accounts, exchange, and resources to this new forest and then get rid of the original forest.
Now the source server is running SBS server 2008, the target is 2012r2 standard.
The SBS08 was upgraded in the past from 2003. When I first ran the trust wizard it gave me an error that the operation is not support because the computer is running server 2003 for small business.
